Equinox 5 will be the first version with the goal of increasing all internal limits to values which should never be reached.
Because of Equinox`s long heritage, many areas within the programming environment have limits imposed from times when memory was expensive and hard disk space in short supply. Previous versions have usually seen an increase in limits, but these have not been in all areas and have not always kept up with demand for increasing functionality from both developers and end users.
All limits will be reviewed, including (but not limited to) Public, Local and Temporary Workareas, Field Definitions, User Options, File names, Fonts, Indexes and Menu items.
Developers who have reached any particular limit within Equinox and would like to see it increased should contact the Equinox Support team with details of their requirements.
