Mirago.com partners with Compsoft to complete hosted indexing project.
Compsoft is to develop a C#-based Web Forms browser application to allow users to create and maintain their index details by acting as the user-interface to an underlying Mirago-developed indexing API.
The Mirago Hosted Index project is a complete hosted indexing solution, allowing adopters to apply the power of the Mirago indexing system to their own domains. In short, Mirago`s search engine is used to index a specified list of URLs.
Capable of handling in excess of 100,000 files across 50 domains, indexes can be grouped in to as many as 64,000 category classifications, although this is far greater than most users would ever need.
The solution will accommodate:
- MP3 files
- MS Word files
- MS Excel files
- MS PowerPoint files
- Adobe PDF files
- Macromedia Flash files
